Chargrilled Amberjack... We invented it
The Back Porch in Destin was the first restaurant along the Gulf Coast to serve its customers Chargrilled Amberjack. Back in the early eighties, General Henry Cobb wanted to serve his customers something unique, so he went to the local boat captains and asked them for their opinions. They told him that the locally caught Amberjack was a really good tasting fish, but no one was trying to catch them for restaurants because Grouper and Snapper were so popular. The General struck a deal with a few local boat captains and was the first to serve Chargrilled Amberjack to his guests at the Back Porch.
